We have stayed independent and small since 2008 so every client works with an experienced agent, not a junior assistant.
Our story
Oakline started with a simple idea: buying or selling a home should feel personal, because it is. Our founder, Claire Bennett, spent ten years building homes in Austin before opening the brokerage.
Today we are a team of agents, a listing studio and a leasing desk, all under one roof on South Lamar. We still price honestly, prepare homes carefully and pick up the phone.
2008
Claire Bennett opens Oakline in a two-desk office on South Lamar.
2013
The team grows to six agents and launches its leasing desk.
2018
Oakline passes $500M in total sales and opens its in-house listing studio.
2024
Named one of Austin's top independent brokerages by Austin Business Journal.
2026
More than 1,550 families helped and counting.
